Holding Steady Through the Storm
Cowboys know that the hardest trails lead to the most beautiful views.
Beneath the stars, where shadows play,
A cowboy pondered on one fine day.
He said to his steed, with a grin so wide,
Lets two-step, partner, let’s take a ride.
With a stomp and a shuffle, they practiced in sync,
The horse rolled his eyes, gave a snort, then a wink.
Spurred on by laughter, they clopped and they spun,
With each awkward twirl, oh, how the fun begun.
The townsfolk gathered, a sight quite bizarre,
As cowboy and horse became dancing stars.
With flailing hooves and a clumsy parade,
They kicked up the dust as a raucous charade.
But as the night waned, the moves took their toll,
The cowboy and horse shared a laugh and a roll.
Together they danced ‘neath the silver moon’s gleam,
In camaraderie’s rhythm, they lived out their dream.
