A roadrunner that challenges a jackrabbit to a race through the sand dunes

The Spirit of the Wild West

The West wasn’t won by luck—it was carved by determination and hard work.

In sun-baked sands where silence reigns,
A roadrunner strutted, bold, unchained.
With feathers gleaming in the heat,
He spotted a jackrabbit, swift on his feet.

“Let’s race,” chirped the bird, a challenge declared,
With a gleam in his eye, the rabbit prepared.
The dunes loomed tall like waves of gold,
Excitement crackled, a story untold.

They lined up straight, hearts racing fast,
With the wind as their rival, whod be outclassed?
On “Go!” they darted through grit and sun,
Two champions of the wild, both ready to run.

Past the cacti, through shadow and light,
Their laughter echoed in the deserts height.
The finish line gleamed in the shimmering haze,
A friendship born from adventure’s blaze.
