The Lure of Wide-Open Spaces
There’s something about the open range that speaks to the soul of a cowboy.
In twilight’s hush, the coyotes jest,
Their laughter dances with the breeze,
With sagebrush sage, they spin their quest,
Echoing wisdom through the trees.
A cowboy shifts neath the starry dome,
His heart a canvas, wild and free,
Each clever quip, a stepping stone,
To life’s big game, a riddle to be.
With every crackle of firelight,
He finds the truth in playful words,
The desert’s secrets whisper at night,
In shared chuckles, the spirit stirs.
As dawn unfurls her crimson shroud,
With laughter woven in the sky,
The coyote calls, a timeless crowd,
In desert tales, no one says goodbye.
