Trusting the Steady Steed
A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.
In the heat of day, the dust clouds swirl,
As cowboys laugh, their hearts a-twirl.
With ropes in hand, they look to dance,
In the arena’s pulse, they find their chance.
“Look out, old Joe, you think you’re sly,”
A voice calls out, as hooves fly high.
Banter sharp as spurs on boot,
In every jest, they take their root.
The crowd erupts, a wild cheer goes,
For daring feats against the throes.
Bulls toss heads, and laughter rings,
In these fierce games, true friendship clings.
As twilight glows, their spirits rise,
Underneath the vast, starry skies.
With every tale and wink exchanged,
The rodeo’s heart is boldly changed.
