Rusted Spurs and Faded Dreams: A Reflection on the Passage of Time

Trusting the Steady Steed

A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.

In moonlit nights, the silence hangs,
Where rusted spurs now softly clang.
Once fierce and bright, they danced with pride,
But dreams grow dim when time’s the guide.

The prairie wind whispers old tales,
Of cowboys brave with tarnished sails.
Seasons pass like a weathered brand,
Their echo fades like footprints in sand.

With every star that lights the sky,
A memory stirs, a wistful sigh.
The saddle creaks, yet hearts still yearn,
For fires of youth and lessons learned.

As dawn breaks wide, a canvas vast,
From shadows deep to colors cast.
Though spurs might rust and dreams might wane,
The cowboy’s spirit shall still remain.
