Trusting the Steady Steed
A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.
Under the vast, star-studded dome,
The cowboys gather, far from home.
With laughter shared ‘round the crackling fire,
They stitch the night with tales, ever higher.
A lonesome coyote howls at the moon,
While embers dance, as hearts attune.
Each constellation, a canvas bright,
Is inked with their jokes, a boundless delight.
“See there,” one points, with a grin of gold,
“That’s the Great Horse, majestic and bold.
And nearby, a tumbleweed rolls with glee,
That’s Old Slim, who’s as wild as can be!”
As night deepens and the stories flow,
They weave the sky with their humors glow.
For in every twinkling star up high,
Lives a cowboys joy, where laughter wont die.
