Trusting the Steady Steed
A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.
Under the vast and crimson sky,
The cowboy hums a lonesome tune,
With shadows long as day waves bye,
He rides the prairie, neath the moon.
His saddle creaks like old, wise tales,
While distant mountains seem to sigh,
A whispered breeze tells of the trails,
And secrets held by stars on high.
Around the fire, embers dance,
With memories wrapped in leathers scent,
As night unfolds a velvet glance,
Each flicker hints of lives well spent.
With heart ablaze, he embraces night,
For in this serenade, he feels alive,
As twilight paints the world in light,
A cowboys spirit, forever will thrive.
