Roundup on the Frontier
Every cowboy knows the importance of gathering strength before the storm.
In dusty trails where chuckwagons roam,
With pots and pans, they make their home.
The cowboy cooks with laughter and cheer,
Yet every meal brings danger near.
A pot of stew, well, it took a turn,
When beans exploded, causing concern.
The cowpokes laughed between bites of grit,
As sourdough bread put up quite a fit.
On open plains where coyotes run,
Came a wild mishap, oh what a fun!
A cake of flour transformed to a rock,
While campfire smoke made the cattle squawk.
But neath the stars, they share their fate,
With stories rich, they create a plate.
For every blunder on trail and track,
Is just another adventure to pack.
