Holding Steady Through the Storm
Cowboys know that the hardest trails lead to the most beautiful views.
When evening falls on dusty trails,
The chuckwagon stirs with fragrant scents,
With beans and biscuits, laughter sails,
As cowboys gather, their humor immense.
Genius jokes fly like arrows shot,
While grizzled hands dish out the stew,
Last night, I dreamt I’d lost my spot!
Well, partner, you’ve been lost since ’82!
Beneath the stars, with moons aglow,
Tall tales unfold like tumbleweed,
“Remember that time the horse said ‘no’?
He’d rather munch grass than chase at full speed!”
As chuckles rise with the fires glow,
They share a bond that won’t break down,
In Southwest skies, the laughter flows,
At the Chuckwagon Show, no room for a frown.
