Trusting the Steady Steed
A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.
On rolling plains where shadows play,
A cowboy chuckles, come what may.
With dusty boots and lassos twirl,
He faces cattle’s chaotic swirl.
The contrary beasts, all sleek and bold,
Will trot left when they should’ve rolled.
With winks and grins, he twirls his hat,
Making mischief of a stubborn brat.
Underneath the wide and starry dome,
He calls his horse, his trusty home.
Together they dance through wild-eyed herds,
Finding laughter in the craziest words.
When dusk descends and stars ignite,
He spins a tale ‘neath moon’s silver light.
For in the struggle, a bond is found,
With humor and love, this life’s renowned.
