The Cowboy and the Cactus Tango A Comical Dance in the Desert

Blazing Trails in the Frontier

The only way to find new horizons is to keep riding toward the setting sun.

In desert heat, where tumbleweeds play,
A cowboy danced in a comical way.
With boots that kicked up the dust and the sun,
He twirled ‘round a cactus, oh what fun!

The cactus stood tall, sharp prickles displayed,
Yet swayed with a grace, unafraid and unfrayed.
With each clumsy step, the cowboy would swoon,
Underneath the bright eye of a silvery moon.

As laughter erupted, the lizards would stare,
The rattlesnake rattled, yet didn’t quite care.
For who could resist such a whimsical sight,
Two partners misfit, dancing into the night?

Then morning broke forth, with a blushing glow,
The cactus stood proud, in the suns warming show.
The cowboy, exhausted, tipped his old hat,
With a grin like the dawn, said, Aint life just that?
