The Cowboy Way of Doing Things
Do what’s right, ride tall, and keep your boots clean—it’s the cowboy way.
In twilights glow, a coyote prances,
While the cowboy grins and takes his chances.
The stars above wink, as dusk unfolds,
Their laughter mingles, a joy untold.
With every step, the wild winds weave,
A dance of freedom, neither would grieve.
Through sagebrush and shadows, they leap and twirl,
Man and beast, in the nights soft whirl.
Hooves pound the earth, a rhythmic sound,
The cowboys spirit, in the wild is found.
The moonlight bathes the rugged terrain,
As they swirl like whispers, free from the chain.
At dawn’s first light, they take their bow,
Two souls entwined, here and now.
In natures embrace, they find their way,
A harmony born in the break of day.
