The Lone Cottonwood Grove: Shelter in the Wild and Unforgiving Plains

Roundup on the Frontier

Every cowboy knows the importance of gathering strength before the storm.

In the vast expanse where the wild winds blow,
Stands a grove of cottonwoods, sturdy and slow.
With gnarled branches stretched to embrace,
Through the howling storms, they offer grace.

The prairie unfolds, a blanket of gold,
Where sun-scorched tales of the cowboys are told.
Beneath the shade, weary souls find rest,
With whispers of home in the wind™s gentle jest.

A rustle of leaves, the soft thud of hoof,
Draws the wanderers close to their leafy roof.
With laughter and stories that dance in the air,
They share dreams and hardships, a bond that they bear.

As twilight descends, painting skies fiery red,
The cottonwoods stand watch over those who have bled.
In the heart of the plains, they are lifes warm embrace,
A shelter of nature, a timeless, safe space.
