Riding the Trail of the West

A cowboy’s life is a simple life, but it’s one filled with grit, heart, and adventure.

Beneath the sun’s relentless gaze,
A cowboy rides through heat’s thick haze.
His weary eyes, they search for drink,
But find a trick that makes him think.

A twist of fate, he catches sight,
Of cacti dancing, a curious sight.
With arms outstretched, they sway and grin,
As if to mock the thirst within.

The waterholes, like dreams, disperse,
One moment here, then gone–what curse!
He chuckles low, though feeling sly,
For even mirages can’t deny.

He tips his hat, embraces jest,
In this wild dance, he loves the best.
With laughter echoing down the trail,
He rides along, where wonders prevail.
