Roundup on the Frontier
Every cowboy knows the importance of gathering strength before the storm.
In desert lands where legends grow,
The clouds rolled in, a roaring show.
With thunders laugh and lightnings game,
The dusty trails turned slick and lame.
Old Billy Bob, with boots of pride,
Tried crossing creeks, but slipped and cried.
He landed flat in muck so thick,
Just add some grit, Ill take my licks!
With laughter shared round firelights glow,
They spun their tales of falls and woe.
Through mud-streaked shirts and faces smeared,
The bonds of brotherhood appeared.
When sun breaks through the clouds above,
They ride again with hearts of love.
For every splash and muddy slip,
Is just a tale upon the whip.
