The Sky’s Last Light: A Farewell to the Day’s Journey

Holding Steady Through the Storm

Cowboys know that the hardest trails lead to the most beautiful views.

Beneath the canvas where the sun dips low,
The golden hues kiss hills, now aglow.
A whispering breeze through sagebrush runs,
A final farewell as the days light succumbs.

The cowboy stands tall by a crackling fire,
With leather-worn hands, he feeds the pyre.
His horse, a silhouette against twilights sweep,
Both share a bond, as the world grows deep.

Stars begin to punctuate the night sky,
Like scattered dreams from the days gone by.
Each flicker tells tales of trails long tread,
Of laughter and loss, of the living and dead.

As darkness wraps around the boundless plains,
The cowboy, undaunted, endures through the pains.
For in every dusk, a new morn will rise,
A promise emblazoned in the vast, open skies.
