Finding Gold in the Details
The Old West taught us that persistence often unearths the greatest treasures.
In town set high with dust and cheer,
The rodeo parade draws near,
With cattle prancing, hooves of might,
A raucous show in broad daylight.
The clowns ride forth, in colors bright,
As goats and pigs take winged delight,
They tumble, roll, a comical scene,
While crowds erupt in laughter keen.
A kid named Jake on his old steed,
Chases a goose with flapping speed,
It honks in glee, with chaos rife,
As laughter dances, slicing strife.
Then as the sun begins to sink,
The parade wraps ˜round, and folks all think,
In chaos lies a joy so rare,
At the unexpected rodeo affair.
