Trusting the Steady Steed
A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.
Across the plains, the wild winds sigh,
With whispers of lost souls drifting by.
Their haunting cries embrace the night,
A melody woven with pain and light.
Beneath the stars, old stories swell,
Of love that lingered, yet could not dwell.
The campfire flickers, shadows dance,
As memories rise in a ghostly trance.
A cowboys heart, too heavy to roam,
Treads soft on trails that feel like home.
Through sagebrush thickets, their spirits trace,
Echoing laughter in this vast, empty space.
When dawn breaks clear, and silence reigns,
The ghostly voices flow with the grains.
Yet, in the wind, a promise persists,
That love™s sweet song can never be missed.
