A cowboy’s attempt to lasso a shooting star that streaks across the night sky above the desert plains

Living by the Cowboy Code

In the Old West, your word was your bond, and respect was earned the hard way.

In the hush of night, the desert sighs,
A cowboy dreams, beneath vast skies.
His lasso tightens, with hopes held high,
To catch that star, as it sweeps by.

With leather glints and the faintest glow,
He rides through shadows where wild winds blow.
The canyon whispers, secrets unfold,
Of wishes made where legends are told.

A streak of light, like fire, it darts,
Igniting the darkness, igniting hearts.
With a twirl of his rope and steady aim,
He aims for the spark, to ride the flame.

But stars are free, beyond earthly claim,
And laughter echoes in the starry game.
He tips his hat to the endless night,
For some dreams shine brightest, out of our sight.
