Holding Steady Through the Storm
Cowboys know that the hardest trails lead to the most beautiful views.
In dusty trails where tumbleweeds roam,
A cowboy hums to the setting suns dome.
With leather boots and a heart like stone,
He rides alone, yet feels the unknown.
One day through the sagebrush, quick and spry,
A roadrunner darts, with a glint in her eye.
Yippee-ki-yay! she squawks with a grin,
“Life’s like a movie; you just gotta begin.”
They strike a bond, as he chuckles with glee,
She mimics the lines from the classics, you see.
Draw, partner! she cried, with a flutter of wings,
As the cowboy laughed at her zesty offerings.
Beneath the vast sky, laughter fills the air,
A cowboy and bird, quite the eccentric pair.
Together they roam, through the wild and the free,
In a world of their making, as grand as can be.
