The Forgotten Campfire: Sparks of Memory from Nights Long Past

Kicking Up Dust on the Trail

The trail might be tough, but a cowboy always finds a way forward.

Forgotten smoke drifts on the breeze,
Where laughter danced ‘neath old mesquite trees.
The embers glow like whispered dreams,
In memories’ hold, the silence teems.

Old saddles creak with tales long spun,
As horses graze in the rising sun.
The crackle of flames, a lover’s sigh,
Calls forth the ghosts of days gone by.

Stars shimmer bright on an endless sea,
Each twinkling light, a friend to me.
We shared our secrets ‘round the fire’s light,
In shadows long past, where hearts took flight.

Yet as the dawn brings a brand-new day,
The campfire’s warmth fades softly away.
But whispers of fires still linger near,
Sparks of memory, forever dear.
