Under the Weathered Hat: Wisdom Carried Through Years on the Range

Trusting the Steady Steed

A cowboy’s trust in his horse is as deep as the canyons they ride.

Beneath the brim of leather worn,
A thousand tales of lives reborn.
With sun-kissed brow and weathered face,
He guards the secrets of this place.

The cattle roam, the hoot owls call,
Each whisper shares what he recalls.
From mighty storms to starry nights,
The cowboy knows the lands delights.

His hands are rough, like roots of trees,
Yet soft enough to soothe the breeze.
With wise old eyes, he spots the signs,
In shifting sands, the truth he finds.

So as the sunset paints the sky,
With hues of fire, he rides on high.
For under that worn hat, youll see,
A sage who walks in harmony.
