Riding the Trail of the West
A cowboy’s life is a simple life, but it’s one filled with grit, heart, and adventure.
When clouds conspire to burst and play,
The desert dust gives way to sway.
A splash of joy in sun-kissed air,
Turns weary trails to puddle fair.
Old Joe, he laughs, a sight to see,
As horses prance, skipping with glee.
With splatters bright on worn-out leathers,
He twirls neath drops like feathered letters.
The sagebrush dances, wild and bold,
As laughter sings through stories told.
Young Billy trips, a tumble clear,
While raindrops drum a joyful cheer.
So, here™s to storms that come unplanned,
With hearty mirth, the cowboys stand.
In South New Mexicos bright expanse,
Where rains can bring a mischievous dance.
